I don't know man...after so much anticipation these don't really live up to the hype for me. I like the pattern on the quarter and the perfs, but this doesn't really look like an Air Jordan to me. I mean, isn't MJ against those toe-rands? And where's the innovation and unique style we've come to expect from an Air Jordan? This shoe just seems plain to me.
Then again, they're already starting to grow on me. Maybe when the color pics come out my mind will change completely.
PS: Right click, view image, is a must on these. The shoe looks completely different when the pic is normal size. |

Hhhmmm... I'm not gonna' judge yet. To early. How does stuff like this leak? Guys over at Jordan must be pissed!
There's so much hype surrounding this shoe and so many expectations, no matter what they do I can't imagine all the guys at NikeTalk going crazy over it. It's just too hyped.
I'm looking forward to see what Jordan are going to do after the 23... |

Like I said over on NT, I'm always much more impressed after I see an AJ in person. Hopefully, the same will play out with these. |

For the first time, it's kind of what I expected based on what I knew. I know it will be much better after hearing the story behind it and being able to see the materials/colors. I am not too excited about the "high fashion dress shoe" style perfs on the vamp. Don't see myself ever feeling that...but we'll see how it goes. |

Who designed these? Is it Tinker? |

I of course will wait for better pictures but I already like them shapewise more than the XXII, XXI and XX. This weekend ought to be pretty crazy. Why $230? My last 4 pairs of shoes didn't add up to cost that much. If I end up liking these, there's no way I'll be able to have those funds-especially with the heat Nike basketball is coming with.
Anyway, I'll wait on my judgement but I'm going against the grain and giving these a chance. The Considered construction idea is cool; I just got some Mowabb II's and hopefully if they ship in tomorrow I will be able to take a closer look at that. |

WoW!!! Impressive and weird at the same time, that's what expecting. Tinker....This man is crazy and out of this time. I dont know why but i feel good when i look at this shoe, The story behind it might be really interesting to discover. i'm liking what i'm seeing so far and i guess the shoe will hardly crease by the way the vamp was designed.
That's cool Tony, You gave us a better picture with your illustrator. |

Oh yeah, honestly I don´t know what to say right now, I like it, not loving it yet. The same happens with me too, same as Ryan said.
I really didn´t know what to expet, something more futuristic, but you can´t really tell from those pics.
Gentry said something about that they found a new way how to produce/make shoe and they have some new inovative outsole or something, I´m looking forward to see that. But we just gotta wait until we have it in our hands and yeah the big upper pattern reminds me of the XIII! |

that toe box, man...should be clean. i remember on the x's, the white/black/steel-powder blue colorway, the 1st release, had a toe cap, and then they took it off for the rest of the colorways. i don't think thats possible here. regardless, we needs more pics. the medial view might change a lot of opinions. did for me on the xx. |

I might be wrong but I feel like that piece on the heel that is protruding is actually the sole. I think the photocopy of the shoe was heavily photoshopped to erase the desk the photo was taken on. And while doing so the person erased away the right shoe that was laying on its side behind the left shoe. Does that make sense?
I think it looks like a good shoe so far. I don't know about $230 yet; but a good start. I like that it is completely new and doesn't rehatch any old Jordan cues. However I am dissapointed with the basic font of the 23 on the tongue. I always loved their graphic ways of saying what number of Jordan it is. They should incorporate the 23 from the catalog page.
But thats my only really negative. You know the details will be amazing on this shoe. They always are. |

Pietro, it's hard to know exactly what that is on the heel, so all we can do is speculate until the whole story is revealed. But I like speculating, so...
If that's a finn-shaped protrusion on the heel, there are actually lots of possible inspirations for that in Native American culture/art. It's circular for one thing and circles are very meaningful to Native Americans. It also resembles a headdress. Here's an image I recently came across as I was helping my daughter with a report on the Caddo Tribe of what is now Arkansas, Oklahoma & Texas...
Another headdress / war bonnet...

There are actually very similar protrusions on existing considered projects/shoes. I am guessing it's the same thing.

Damn, man. I SWEAR I saw a pair that had a TPU piece in the back like that, as a counter with the material stitched around it. I knew exactly what it was when I saw the 23....but now I can't find it anywhere online. Maybe I was hallucinating. LOL |

Not to hate, but so far the Air Jordans were out done by the Kobe III and the Lebron V. I was expecting something really different like the AJXX. These look like regular shoes, not what I expecto from the XX3. This suppose to be the last shoes in the line. I wanted something more unique looking. But hopefully my decision will change with better pics. |

I did a quick mock up of what I am thinking. I could be way off but looking at the slight prerspective of the shoe. That would be an extremely akward shape on the heel. And looking at the catalog pics of the sole and lateral the lateral view does have a slight protrusion but nothing that darastic and the sole looks to have similar negatives that that shape has.
Just my opinion.

Well, it was posted in an earlier description that it has some sort of "fin" on the back. Those silhouette pics are fake- not of the XX3's actual shape. The fin would just be a vertical strip looking directly from behind.
Reggie: I would hold off until we can get some more clear info about the construction etc. I think you will turn around ;) |

Fair enough. No matter what I like the shoe as it stands. I like that it is interesting. No disrespect to DE at all but I like how there is a noticable difference between projects by Tinker and the other designers. I feel like Tinker's lines are so much more organic along with his thoughts. I can really see that in this shoe which has happened to me for awhile in the Jordan line. Outside of the new Melo. |
