Tony - I always love your work. I really love the amount of time and thought that you put into every design. You really set the bar for KG. Your idea for a totally recyclable shoe is great, especially with the technology we have today to be able to do it, and with the overall state of our environment. I could go on and on praising this design, but you know the great things that you put into it, and their is no need to reiterate them. The only few things that I think might need some work are the lacing system and the sole. I think that the lacing system is innovative, but may cause some problems in the fact that if your foot is not a specific size on the four hooks you have in place, the fit may either be too loose or too tight. On the sole, I think that their are too many holes to be stitched and would take a tremendous amount of time, effort, and skill to accomplish. You may want to simplify it a little. Overall, excellent job and I think that if you refine it just a bit, you will have an amazing design.
P.S. You are also on point with the name "FS9" instead of the XXIV, as the rumor is that the next Jordan will not be numbered and will be the Air Jordan 2009, or AJ09. Great job! |

Douglas - I think you have a pretty good design so far. I like your inspiration and think that it is a good interpretation of what the next Air Jordan could be. I think, however, it could have been executed better. There is nothing that really screams Air Jordan Signature. I feel that you are missing the fine details and innovation that separates the Signature line from the Team line. There are unlimited details in nature that you could have drawn from and incorporated into this design. Just having an organic forms and shapes is not enough, which could be perceived as many things other than nature (plants/flowers). I would have loved to have seen you push this further. I think that you have the start of what could be a great design, but you are just in the beginning stages. Expand on your ideas and keep pushing. |

Yu - I love this design, and your rendering skills are great. I, unfortunately, don't think this is far departure from the Jordan XX3. I could see this easily being the Jordan XX3 PE, similar to the XX1 and XX2 PEs. I mean, don't get me wrong, the design is absolutely beautiful, it just looks too much like the XX3, in shape, detailing, patterning , and color blocking. All though, I would definitely buy and wear a pair! |

Johnny nice shoe. I like the concept. Your coloring is good. It has always been one of your strengths. I'm glad to see your concepts improveing aswell. However with that being said i think your proportions still need some work. Keep at it. |

Sonny: Yeah, I think the inspiration ties pretty well into your design. Nice strap too! I guess my only thing is that it seems like you have overused the theme a bit. I would take the idea to either the footbed OR the strap- but both seems a bit overwhelming on the eye. Just my humble 2. Good work though!
Johnny: I agree. I like what you have done with this and the inspiration. Your toe spring needs to come up a bit. Also, for now I would lose all of the background stuff. It is taking the focus away from your design and muddling the page. Keep it up! |

Sonny: Looking at it again, I think it looks better on the footbed. What if the shapes were cut away with metal mesh backing for water drainage? Or they could be cushioning pods (I am assuming they are). Then you could make your strap solid to highlight it's unique shape. Just a thought. |

Yuanzheng~ Congratulations on a much-deserved win! You definitely put the time and thought into your project needed to win this one. I think with a little tweaking of proportions, you would have blown it out! Man, 4 hundredths??? It's getting to be like the olympics up in here! Great job man.
Again, awesome work to all the finalists this month!
