Thanks alot Daryl and Ryan! I ended up using Corel Draw 11 for the curved lines. It worked out great for me. Thanks again.

daryl: the way that i do some of those textures is all photoshop. i have images of textures and just photoshop it in. no secret.

Luke, Daryl is right. You have a pen tool with Photoshop 7. It gives you the basic functions of Illustrator within Photoshop. Go to your Photoshop Help, and Search "creating a work path". It will tell you all you need to know.

Luke, i believe you can draw curves in the latest version of photoshop, but the easiest way i know of is to use the pen tool in programs like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw.

What tool should I use in Photoshop to create curved lines such as in Nestor's shoe. I have already tried the pen tool and that doesn't work too well for me. Is there another tool, or should I use another program? Thanks Alot.

Does anyone know how to make lines smooth without using the blur tool in Photoshop? If not, how do you go about making the outline of a shoe in Photoshop? Help is greatly appreciated.

again, zenith, how did you create that woven canvas texture? was it straight outta photoshop filters? it looks like a scanned image, but better, almost like a 3D rendered surface texture or shader. please share your technique...
