Overview: The Stutter Step is only available in Canada and Asia as a signature for Steve Nash. It's reported that it may not have Zoom Air but this version from Asia DOES have Zm Air. The upper was really stiff, as with all leather shoes, but after a couple games, it comforms to a nicer fit now - although still not completely broken in yet. I love how the shoe is extremely light and a nice change from my Shox Stunners. The heel is pretty solid. It is not a very cushionny ride but it is expected due to its low profile. The forefoot Zoom is great and feels like there is a little bubble of air sticking out when I tried it on at home but once I hit the courts, it was awesome. The shoes are responsive enough for me. They feel very low profile and kept me well in touch with the court. The thing that impressed me the most about the shoe is its stability. It is incredibly stable for a midcut shoe. My ankles felt well protected and the hard blue chassis piece along with the protruding tab on the side of the front makes it very steady. Comparison to the Jordan 14's, they feel more stable even though there is less area under the heel. The forefoot is just a tad larger due to the tab. Ankle protection was better than expected. The top of the shoe is at its peak at the laces, where it is a tad higher than the 14's, and the rear slopes downwards, leaving a bit of freedom for the ankle. The lacing actually came up higher than the 14's, which helped get some support. More updates after the upper is fully broken in. Loving it so far.
