DURABILITY & WEIGHT & STYLE:
AMF CB is the heavier of the two. With the strap over an already all leather upper body, there's alot more extra luggage for the AMF CB to carry around. However, it also proves to be more durable. The material used, workmanship are all better in our opinion.
The AM2 CB feels lighter but the material also feels a bit more 'flimsier'. Even when deadstock, we see light wrinkles developing from just handling the shoes by hand. Perhaps this is due to the softer and more delicate leather used (for better comfort) but it also hurt long term durability.
When it comes to looks, each shoe has its own taste. AMF holds a classic swoosh and strap combo, flanked by hints of sport-royal at all the right places. Bright orange Nike letters at the sole reveal Barkley Phoenix Suns' team colors.
The swooshless design on the AM2 offers a serious and signature look. The four pillars of the forefoot stands out and reflect the shoe's boldness. The AMF has 3 similiar animal-paw like pillars but does not get accentuated due to the non-contrasting colors. The best part about this shoe is its rear. The #34, the heel stability and huge air max bubbles present an aggressive and Barkley-mentally to the shoe.
