 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | Melo M6
6.69 / 10 Just in case that there will not have a Melo theme, I decide to sketch a Melo shoe for my freestyle kicks. I start another shoe before but I was not satisfied of my rendering. So this is my version of the Melo M5. I get my inspiration from the Nissan 350Z (especially the front light) and from a bulldozer (caterpillar and front shovel). I mix those things to sketch the front part of the shoe. I think Carmelo was like a strong sport car like the Z, he is fast and agile but he is very strong too like a bulldozer.

 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | K1X Chanllenger
7.73 / 10 K1X chanllenger, is designed for streetball style.
Simple stripes on the surface makes angels in a more comfortable position when crossing. The hiden memory foam inside of the shoes are to make the best flexibility. Special head is providing best air condition for human feet.
TPU at the back of the shoe makes a better quality of the entire design. an extra golden clip which has the logo could help tie-ing up the shoe tie by clipping the shoe ties and the shoe tongue together.
As to the technology of the middle sole of the shoe, K1X¡¯s conservative W.L.O.T.C.+W.H.U.I.T.A. technology is used to express the concept which K1X always has.

 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | Air Jordan VI Nu Retro
6.55 / 10 In my opinion, the Air Jordan VI was the most accomplished and advanced basket shoes at the beginning of the 90's . That's why, nowadays , it still represents one of the most beautiful kicks of all the Jordan Collection . So, I've revisited that model in an actual design including new generation materials and Nike systems like carbon fibre, zoom air and lightweight new synthetic patterns .

 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | NIKE ZK4
7.60 / 10 This is my first shoes design. The shoes is designed for Kobe. Everybody knows Kobe play like black Mamba. So I designed the shoes inside look like skin of Mamba. I think basketball shoes must be light and safe. Zoom air is the best choice for new ZK4.The shoes will help you paly like a snake. Quicker, nimbler, like a killer. Some inspirations of my design came from a famous architect Zaha Hadid. Her buildings have some kind of organic style.

 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | NIKE ZOOM BUTTERFLY
7.45 / 10 The Original idea was a unisex casual sport shoe. Because of its better market fit, the concept was changed to Dance Fitness women's shoe. The goal was to make the character of a shoe that meets with the calmness, elegance and perfection of nature, plus the creative aggression of sport. Description It is a low-profile indoor shoe for the fitness dancer in the gym. The upper is a Spandex-made stretching sock, which provides a foot-hugging fit, which is exceptional for dance. Natural leather parts are sewed to the "sock" and facilitate lacing. The rubber ring attached to the heel patch (under the ankle collar) makes it easier to easier pull-on. The Nike® Zoom Air insole unit can be applied for responsive cushioning. The shape of the back part of the outsole is unique. it runs from the heel through the upper and ends on the side of the trim, giving the foot an extra feeling of stability. The vamp is made of rubber-coated leather for durability

 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | Adidas Jamaica Sprint Concept
7.09 / 10 This is a concept sprint spike aimed at solving midfoot/arch lockdown problems that many sprinters have. These athletes often tackle this problem by tightly wrapping their arches with large amounts of athletic tape before their races. This concept utilizes three velcro straps that are integrated into this midfoot area for superior lockdown. The straps weave through the zip-up shroud and are pulled through individual loop inserts located on the medial side of the shoe, and are pulled back over to the top of the spike. The spike plate takes subtle inspiration from the Jamaican culture, utilizing forefoot inserts that elude to the ganja plant - also known as the

 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | Li-Ning Black Tornado
7.62 / 10 In the recent years, more and more Chinese elements are put on sneakers. Both Nike and Adidas have made some sneakers with Chinese elements and release them to China’s market. So, when I start designing something for the freestyle theme, I thought maybe I can use some famous people or novel character in China’s culture. Finally I choose the “Black Tornado”. “Black Tornado” is the nickname of Li Kui, who is one of the most famous novel characters in China. He is born with a dark complexion, fiery eyes, a muscular body and strength equivalent to an ox. He uses a pair of axes as his weapon. Although looks scary, he has a kind heart and loves helping people. That’s why I like this outlaw hero. The pattern on the ankle of the shoe comes from the makeup of “Black Tornado” in Chinese Opera. Please check the extra images for sketches and some additional colorways. Hope I could introduce more Chinese culture to you.

 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | ASICS Gel Kona
6.00 / 10 Named after the location where the legendary Hawaii Ironman is held, the ASICS Gel Kona is designed to be the ultimate triathlon racing flat. With its "negative heel", material used is reduced to a bare minimum, decreasing its weight. A laceless lockdown system comprising of an external frame and in built elastic fabric harness allows for maximum lockdown and stability, while allowing the triathlete to slip in and out of the shoe quickly and easily during transition periods, saving precious seconds during a race. An extended shoe tongue aids in quick and easy shoe wear and removal. The Gel Kona also boasts full-length gel cushioning to ease any pain or discomfort during the run, while a an ergonomically placed channels in the outsole allow the shoe to flex with the natural gait of the foot. A lightweight yet strong carbon-fiber midfoot shank provides smooth heel-to-toe transition during footstrike, while perforations in the midsole prevent excessive heat and moisture buildup in the shoe. Please view the extra images for more info.

 2008 2nd Theme - 2008 Freestyle | Adidas 5.0
6.69 / 10 My design is looking to the future of Adidas basketball footwear. The shoe is covered with small levels - each of which calculates the angle of a given part of the foot. All the information is then transferred to a small computer located at the heel of the shoe. This information is then used to calculate the status and needs of the foot at that given moment, and the fit of the shoe adjusts accordingly. The the ankle begins to invert, the area around the ankle becomes more rigid. If the ankle is moving forward in a normal motion, the ankle is given more freedom.
The aesthetic design of the shoe is meant to be futuristic, and also to highlight the technology used.
