July 2007 - Bend It Like Beckham | Lady Predator

Inspired by the Predator and by the Assassin by Prior 2, by Beckham sense of fashion. The lady predator is a study for women only soccer boots. It feature a tibia protection and a soccer shoes in a tight and fashionnable package.
The adidas Lady Predator offer a seamless design and an innovative structure .
By designing those soccer shoes my mission was.
- To imagine a future woman soccer shoes inspired by Victoria Beckam.
- To innovate by using really lightweight material for the body whuile using the Assassin style structure for the structure.
- Offer a highly customisable design in order to satisfy all soccer clubs. Click here for Sketches.

July 2007 - Bend It Like Beckham | adidas SRK

Adidas SRK is inspired by the most vicious predator...the shark.
The boot follows the shape of the shark, the adidas stripes beeing shaped and placed like gills.
Made from Shark skin which is stronger and lighter than conventional leather. These unique boots also repel water whilst the un-tanned scales contribute to improved ball control and swerve. External heel counter for added stability and heel fit, Lightweight TPU plate with molded cleats and highly flexible midle and synthetic lining.
Normal symmetrical lacing and shyni surfaces give the killer shark look for the new SRK David Beckham soccer boots.
I've added some hand sketches made for this theme and some details for better understanding of my project.

How can a football shoe be good the most perfect? A soccer shoe need to be
light and able to offer a good contact with the ball. The design has to be
as clean as possible because the unnecessary added pieces can change the
contact between the foot and the ball. This is why i decided to design a
shoe with a really pure and clean contact area. This contact piece is made
of leather, it's added over a carbon shape. I secondly wanted to imagine a
shoe without laces or any other elements of closing to epure the shape and
improve the comfort too.So i just put the "slip on system" which is easy to
wear and able to keep the foot in the shoe .Thus I wanted something
discreet, so this is why the 3 adidas stripes are just in stiches on the
toebox. I called the shoe "FM+" to remind of the expression : "FOLLOW ME". I
choose it because i think that DavidBeckam is the first of a long list of
européen soccer players able to be hired by an USA team. So that's why
"Follow Me", the next européens players will follow him in USA.

My concept is to link the soccer shoe and the tibia protect part in one product that we can put like a boots thanks to two zippers : one on the calf and an other hidding the laces. This shoe is made by a sleek padded leather on the lateral side and a full grain leather on the fore-foot and the medial side. This new concept of soccer shoe brings a new surprising aesthetic inspired by this unexpected arrival from beckham in the USA.

David Beckham is a busy man. From interviews, to photo shoots, to stepping onto the pitch, he always needs to be ready to go. The adidas predator DB Go is designed for just that. The Go includes the same powerpulse insole technology as previous Predators. The newest Predator includes attachable mid/out soles that slip right onto the cleats, converting the cleat into a go-anywhere shoe. The sole also features adidas Bounce technology, providing a comfortable ride. The inner heel is 'sculpted' to lock the heel down tight.
To top it all off, Beckham's arrival in America to play for the LA Galaxy has many seeing him as America's soccer "Savior". The adidas Go is appropriately designed. The word savior evokes images of Jesus and Byzantine and Medieval art with their elaborate gold tooling and patterning. The Go was inspired aesthetically by these works of art. The shoe comes in a special gold colored steel "Reliquary" collectors' box to hold the shoes and all the accessories that come with it. The set includes a double-headed cleaning brush, the pair of cleats, the detachable Go-anywhere soles, and a pair of high-tech soccer socks featuring d30 threads interwoven with moisture-wicking material. Along with a new team, comes Beckham's new Predator soccer boot.
Beckham's new signature shoe was designed with the LA Galaxy colors and
uniform detailing in mind. The new Lightweight predator is constructed
with a moisture wicking micro-fiber (white) to help keep the player's
foot dry during intense games. TPU bumpers (yellow) help to protect the
athlete's foot, while also aiding ball control on the vital striking
surfaces of the foot. The tongue of the shoe is constructed with
kangaroo leather for durability and sports the Predator's famous ridged
surface. The ridged striking surface helps Beckham bend the ball on
kicks making his shots harder to defend. Above David's personal logo,
on the tongue, is a grip that helps the athlete pull the shoe on. The
tongue creates a large 3-stripe logo, which will be easily visible on
television for the countless replays of Beckham highlights.
